WHO we are…

Duns Motocross Track is one of Scotland’s best motocross facilities and has been a staple in the Scottish off-road scene since the early 80’s. Previously it was successfully run by the landowner but the circuit is now operated by ex-British Champion Motocross racer, Bryan Mackenzie. Bryan, who recently retired from professional competition in 2016, was raised in the nearby district of East Lothian and has been attending the Duns Motocross Track since he began riding motocross bikes in 1990 and admits it was an important part of his motocross development which evolved into a dream career.

WHAT we do…

With such an excellent circuit at our disposal and an abundance of sport knowledge, it is our goal to try to provide a complete motocross facility to the two-wheeled off-road enthusiast.

  • National competition standard race/practice track
  • Children/beginner track
  • Weekly practice days (open to anyone with a two-wheeled dirt-bike)
  • Race days – British, Scottish and Club Championships
  • Professional tuition/training and advice from a professional rider/coach for beginner to expert level
  • On-site track shop; accessories, equipment, spare or replacement parts, food, drink
  • Workshop/mechanic facility with experienced mechanics

So if you’re starting out or are an old hand at the sport, we have something here for you.

WHERE we come from…

Interesting fact: The Duns Motocross track is older than current owner Bryan Mackenzie.

But what is the history of both the track and Bryan – where have they come from?

The Duns Motocross Track has had such a long life already gaining a wealth of experience working with the land allowing us to maximise the potential of the track and the area that it lies. Situated on the Langton Lees Farm, just 3 miles outside of Duns (Scottish Borders), it sits in a picturesque setting amongst the Lammermuir Hills providing scenic views as a back drop. The venue is renown in the community as being one of the best in the country and each year hosts rounds of British and Scottish National Championship and also various smaller club Championships events as it has done for as far back as anyone can remember.

Owner Bryan has 27 years of a motocross background. Starting out on his first bike at five-years-old he had a successful youth racing career at British championship level before beginning to race professional events at 16 years-old. Now 32, Bryan consistently finished inside the top-5 placings of the professional MX2 category in Britain – including winning a couple of British Masters Championships – and has a lot of experience from both home and abroad including as a certified riding coach since 2004 in which he has assisted riders from beginner to pro level. Bryan is determined to put all of his experience to good use at Duns Motocross Track.

Ultimately we are trying to achieve providing a comprehensive Motocross experience where everything you need and want from a day out on your dirt-bike is all in one venue. We want you to enjoy your day and feel comfortable and confident doing so.

We appreciate that Motocross is not just about riding bikes but hanging out with friends, too, as we all share a passion for Motocross. Friendships and camaraderie run strong throughout the pits and we encourage the social aspect of our sport as much as the riding and welcome you to hang out in the track Hub at any point of the day.

So come along for a ride, hang out with your friends or even make new ones; just have a blast!
